Kingdom Home raises $50,000 at second annual fundraising event in Seattle

Kingdom Home hosted its second annual fundraising event Saturday, December 2 at Evergreen Golf Club. Over 100 people gathered for an evening that included lots of fun, food, golf and a powerful presentation from Kingdom Home co-founders, Matthew and Ashley Boyd that resulted in raising over $50,000 for the children.

The evening was hosted by Rick Rizzs, voice of the Seattle Mariners, and featured Bucky Jacobsen, who set mark for the Long Drive competition. The lively event was bookended by a silent and live auction that included sports memorabilia, dinner experiences, wine and spirits, and an incredible vacation package to Suncadia Resort.

The main event was an impassioned reflection of Kingdom Home's recent trip to Uganda by Matthew, and Ashley followed up with a call to join hands with Kingdom Home to take the next step in the children's journey. With a focus on investing in the futures of the Kingdom Home children, Matthew and Ashley shared an emotional video testimony of a young boy who was abandoned by his family, and brought into our care. He was once sleeping on the streets and begging for food, but now his holistic needs are being met, he's attending school and aspires to become a surgeon. For the Boyds, it was a full circle moment to see him in Uganda, doing well, speaking articulately, educated and thriving.

The event was hosted for the second time at Evergreen Golf Club in Redmond, Washington. Created by co-founders Greg Bodine and Jermaine Kearse, Evergreen Golf Club is a multifaceted golf facility that pairs the excitement of golf with functional training in a fun and inviting atmosphere.
